“Just don’t talk politics” — I heard this over the weekend and it hit home how much of a truth it is for me.<\/p>\n
It’s funny to me how many hobbies I have where I meet so many wonderful people I would not have meet elsewhere. So many people I have become great friends with, that I would not have meet anywhere else outside of the hobbies since our social circles just don’t intersect because of difference politics, lifestyle choices or spiritual beliefs.<\/p>\n
So, if you are reading this, from your friendly nearly vegan, gun toting, belly dancing, yoga teaching, agnostic, sci-fiction & costuming loving, moderate left-leaning liberal, crazy cat\/ferret\/snake lady, thank you for your friendship. I think my life is so much richer for having such a variety of personalities and people around me!<\/p>\n
What I find very, very interesting is that more frequently than not, I find I get along with people of opposing belief systems (politics especially) better than those that self identify the same way I do.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s weird!
