{"id":853,"date":"2015-04-11T16:26:14","date_gmt":"2015-04-12T00:26:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.perlgurl.net\/blog\/?p=853"},"modified":"2015-04-16T16:30:07","modified_gmt":"2015-04-17T00:30:07","slug":"april-10-clouds-and-aurora","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.perlgurl.net\/blog\/?p=853","title":{"rendered":"April 10: Clouds and Aurora"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were forecast to have some snow by Saturday morning so I figured that between that and the shorter nights we have now that going out Friday night would be not very productive. \u00c2\u00a0Instead I opted for hoping for a showing I could catch from my deck again, which happened. \u00c2\u00a0Unfortunately for me\u00c2\u00a0my neighbors have dedicated their smoking area to be 10 feet away from my front door and our deck, so I was driven inside after just a short while.<\/p>\n<p>I did get a few photos, though, and the effect from the clouds was interesting. \u00c2\u00a0My stars are not very\u00c2\u00a0sharp, but I&#8217;m thinking that is an effect of the hazy clouds.<\/p>\n<p>Downtown Fairbanks, shooting with Sony a6000 and a Rokinon 12mm lens.
