I took a lovely workshop at Heart Stream Yoga – not only did I get to delve further in the mythology of Siva & Sakti, but I got to totally get my linguistic “geek-on” with learning to chant the Sanskrit alphabet. Labial, guttural, palatal, dental and retroflex sounds galore!
Now to find my copy of IPA to figure out how to phonetically spell out all those words I’m sure I put down incorrectly in my notes tonight…..
