Today is the last day of classes for 2013. Tomorrow is our Holly Days Hafla. These events are both an ending and a beginning; the end of me running a dance studio and the beginning of a new chapter for me as a dancer and as a teacher.
I gave this endeavor of trying to be a studio owner over four years, made my share of mistakes, learned a lot about running a business, but in the end I found that it was far more work and stress than what it was worth to me; I opened the studio thinking I was doing something for myself and my dance community, but found that such self-sacrifice is definitely not my calling.
In 2014 I will return to doing what I really do love; teaching dance. I will still be managing the space where we dance, but with a lot less responsibility and a lot less financial stress and worry. I can focus on myself and my classes.
Without my family, friends, and students I could not do this. I thank you all for a great year and for your patience and support.
